In Engineering and Technology, CORTEK offers design planning, system engineering, software engineering, test & evaluation services, and technology planning and implementation. CORTEK provides a broad spectrum of Security Support, including both IT and physical security, access control, situational awareness, and cybersecurity. Our Integrated Logistics support services include system installation and support, fielding and training, and helping move troops and supplies around the world. Finally, we provide Foreign Consequence Management through country engagement planning, discussion-based exercise support, and interagency coordination with government agencies. Our broad scope of projects include integrated base defense/force protection, cyber, forensics/biometrics, systems and software engineering, records management, and other program management support services.

EMKS does everything through the lens of what is best for their clients, partners, and employees. Many companies say they believe in the one-team approach, but EMKS lives it every day. While there are many examples, the one that comes to mind first is our work supporting the Department of State’s Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Terrorism (WMDT) Office and their Counter Nuclear Smuggling (CNS), Foreign Consequence Management (FCM), and Global Initiative for Countering Nuclear Terrorism (GICNT) program for which we collaborated with our subcontract, client, and partner country POCs to plan, organize, and assist with facilitating many table-top exercises and other scenario-based discussions in order to evaluate and validate participants capabilities and capacities. We develop exercise content, propose plan of actions to achieve desired exercise outcomes, and coordinate with the various stakeholders and required SMEs. We identify facilitators, SME advisors, and other participants. We develop presentations, print and distribute documents to be used during the event, and capture, analyze, and publish the action items, lesson learned, and best practices resulting from the event. As a result of our efforts, the State Department’s WMDT program successfully implemented a dynamic training and exercise program with the country of Estonia. We developed each training block to address tactical response to a radiological dispersal device, operational procedures to coordinate a response to nuclear material, and policy workshops designed to develop interagency frameworks to provide additional authority during an event. With the success of this, and many other events, our client is recognized within the State Department as experts on exercise develop.
